SUMMIT, N.J., August 6, 2026. Energy Capital Partners ("ECP"), a leading investment firm across energy transition infrastructure and part of Bridgepoint Group (BPT.L), announced the successful fundraising of its sixth flagship equity strategy, ECP VI ("Fund VI"). The fund raised $8.1 billion in total capital commitments, reaching a hard cap that was increased during the fundraise to accommodate strong investor demand and significantly exceeding its initial $5 billion target. ECP has now raised over $41 billion in capital commitments since its inception in 2005, reflecting the continued confidence of its investors in the firm's strategic focus and operational execution.

Fund VI will continue ECP's investment strategy of building and leading businesses across power generation, renewables and storage, and sustainable infrastructure. The structural forces reshaping the US and global power markets, including accelerating electricity load growth driven by data centers and AI, increasing grid complexity, industrial onshoring, and broadening electrification, create a durable and large-scale investment opportunity requiring disciplined capital. These dynamics are further supported by a global macroeconomic environment in which governments and companies are accelerating commitments to energy security, grid resilience and the energy transition, creating a broadening opportunity set across geographies and asset classes on which ECP is strongly positioned to capitalize.

Fund VI builds on the continued success of its predecessor, ECP V, which closed only two years ago in May 2024 with total capital commitments of $4.4 billion. Fund VI is already actively deploying capital, including recent agreements to acquire DCC, a global leader in multi-energy sales and distribution, and EnergySolutions, a leading provider of integrated solutions across the full nuclear power lifecycle, as well as the acquisition of Grain LNG, Europe's largest liquefied natural gas terminal. ECP's ability to deploy capital effectively is matched by a demonstrated record of realizations to leading strategic and financial buyers. Recent milestones include the sale of Calpine to Constellation Energy, alongside the sales of Cornerstone Generation, Symmetry Energy Solutions and Liberty Tire Recycling.

Doug Kimmelman, Founder and Executive Chairman of ECP, stated: "Power demand is growing at a pace not seen in decades, driven by AI infrastructure, industrial onshoring and electrification acceleration. The infrastructure required is not yet in place."

Tyler Reeder, President and Chief Investment Officer of ECP, commented: "Fund VI provides capital to invest at scale demanded by current opportunities. Our edge lies in operational depth to build, scale and improve backed businesses."

Emily Zovko, Senior Managing Director at ECP, noted: "Investor base strength reflects relationships and trust built over many years. Many Fund VI commitments come from repeat limited partners."

Commitments to Fund VI were secured from a broad and diverse global investor base, including sovereign wealth funds, public and private pensions, insurance companies, asset managers and family offices. Kirkland & Ellis acted as fund formation counsel to ECP.
