SCF Partners Invests in American Piping Products to Fuel Next Phase of Growth
The Houston-based energy investor has acquired the steel pipe and tube distributor to fund geographic expansion and new commercial capabilities.
HOUSTON, September 16, 2026. SCF Partners has acquired American Piping Products, a leading value-added distributor of mission-critical tubular products. The company, known as APP, serves diversified end markets. Those include industrial, refining and chemical, power generation, data center, energy and LNG sectors. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 1994, APP has a 32-year track record connecting mill suppliers with more than 1,800 customers. Those customers span the United States and international markets. APP's deep, decades-long mill relationships and value-added distribution capabilities have made it a critical supply partner. It serves a wide range of end markets. SCF's investment is meant to accelerate APP's next phase of growth. That includes geographic expansion and continued investment in commercial and operational capabilities. It also includes additional capital to support existing and new customers, along with strategic suppliers.
