Continuim Equity Partners Announces Strategic Growth Investment in Resodyn
The Pittsburgh-based private equity firm's fifth new platform acquisition this fund brings a patented acoustic mixing technology company into its industrial portfolio.
PITTSBURGH, Aug. 27, 2026. Continuim Equity Partners, LP announced the acquisition of a majority interest in both Resodyn Corporation and the assets of Resodyn Acoustic Mixers, Inc., along with strategic growth capital to support the company's next phase of expansion. The transaction is the fifth new platform acquisition by Continuim Equity Partners Fund II and Continuim's eleventh platform acquisition since inception.
Headquartered in Butte, Montana, and founded in 1994 by Lawrence Farrar, Resodyn designs and manufactures ResonantAcoustic mixing systems for customers across aerospace and defense, pharmaceutical, chemicals, additive manufacturing, and battery and energy storage markets. The company's patented, non-contact mixing technology is installed in over 40 countries.
"Lawrence Farrar has proven himself as a world-class entrepreneur. We are both humbled and thrilled that he has chosen Continuim as his long-term strategic partner," said George Pilafas, Managing Partner of Continuim.
"Over time, I have been approached by many potential acquirers, but Continuim's strong history of partnering with founders to scale and strengthen their industrial businesses easily made them my partner of choice," said Farrar, who will transition from President and CEO to Chief Technology Officer while remaining an active shareholder.
Liberty Ridge Advisors served as financial advisor to Resodyn. Continuim is a Pittsburgh-based private equity firm that focuses exclusively on acquiring and accelerating the growth of manufacturing and industrial businesses.
