Periscope Equity Promotes Eric Hinkle to Partner
Hinkle joined the Chicago firm in 2017 and led its platform deals in RepTrak, CyberMaxx and Mobile Solutions.
CHICAGO, Sept. 15, 2026. Periscope Equity, a Chicago-based private equity firm, has promoted Eric Hinkle to partner. The firm said the promotion recognizes Hinkle's leadership with founder-led and family-owned business services companies.
Hinkle joined Periscope in 2017 as a vice president. He has worked on the firm's platform investments in RepTrak, Praecipio, CyberMaxx and Mobile Solutions. At those companies he partnered with management on growth strategy and led add-on acquisition programs. In the new role he keeps responsibility for investment strategy, deal execution and portfolio value creation.
"For nearly a decade, Eric has been indispensable to our team and portfolio companies," said Steve Jarmel, Founder and Partner at Periscope Equity. "He brings the kind of sector depth, grit, and operational rigor that our founders and management teams rely on, and this promotion reflects the trust he's earned across our organization."
Periscope also credits Hinkle with helping lead its push into operational innovation. That work included applying technology, data and AI inside the firm and across its portfolio.
"I'm grateful for the opportunity and responsibility to step into a leadership role at Periscope," said Hinkle. "This team exemplifies partnership in the truest sense, and I'm excited for what's ahead, as we continue to grow as a firm and build great companies alongside our management teams."
The promotion follows a period of expansion. Periscope closed an oversubscribed $370 million third fund in August 2025. It added Jonathan Levinsky as head of talent that October. Recent deal activity includes a May investment in specialty payments platform Amusement Connect. Portfolio companies MAS and SPARC announced a strategic realignment in July.
